Job DescriptionWhat will you be doing?
As an Electronics Engineer, you will join our Fareham team to support our activities within the Maritime sector. We are seeking a skilled Electronics Engineer to work on innovative marine electronics systems that set industry standards for reliability and performance to contribute to the design and development of next-generation products such as advanced radar systems, GPS navigation equipment, and multifunctional display units.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Design and implement microcontroller/microprocessor systems (e.g., STM32 architecture) for high-performance applications.
- Create and optimize schematic designs using tools like Altium.
- Develop and troubleshoot interfacing protocols such as SPI, I2C, Ethernet, HDMI, ensuring seamless device communication.
- Engineer analogue interfacing solutions, focusing on robust signal integrity and precision.
- Design and evaluate power delivery systems, ensuring reliability across all operating conditions.
- Conduct in-depth debugging and testing, applying rigorous quality assurance methods.
- Leverage FPGA design experience (advantageous but not essential) to support advanced system requirements

QualificationsExperience, skills and qualifications required:
- 5+ years of experience in electronics engineering or a related field.
- Strong expertise in microcontroller system design (preferably with STM32).
- Proficiency in schematic design tools like Altium Designer.
- Knowledge of digital and analogue interfacing and protocols such as SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and HDMI.
- Experience with power delivery systems and their integration into complex electronics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with debugging and testing tools.
- Knowledge of FPGA programming (a bonus but not essential).
